"Spending time With the Lord"

I started reading and dedicating my time with the Lord, I like to set a certain time during the day just for me and him. I tend to put my girls down for there nap and I try to get some much needed alone time with God. Anyhow my study at the moment is in Psalms.
"Spending Time With The Lord"
Psalms 37:4 and Psalms 37:5-7
Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him and he will do this. He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn, the justice of your cause like the noonday sun. be still before the lord and wait patiently for him; do not freet when men succeed in their ways when they carry out their wicked schemes.
* What is verse four saying to us?
Spend time with God, let him speak to you in your life. He love us! Get to know the Lord on an intimate level instead of just the surface. Sometimes we only tap in on the surface of getting to know the Lord of this creation. Our Creator!
Our God desires to give us what yearns in our hearts, but our desires should first be him!
    Psalm 37:4
Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart.
When we continue on to read he says to commit yourself to God. Don't brake away from spending time with God but instead find ways to spend time with him. God knows we have responsibilities as a mother, wife, father, husband, ect. What are ways to spend time with God and showing in your life how you glorify him? When your children are sleeping set this time for you and God. It's ok that things need to get done...it doesn't really matter as much as your relationship with Christ. Getting things done will always be there, but time with Christ you can't get back, so build up that time with him. Driving in your car, play Christian music and while driving pray talk to him about your day, worries, happiness, this is time with him, God. How you react to others, how you respond and even represent yourself day to day is an example of where your relationship with Christ is at. How about glorifying God in what shows you watch...sometimes we will say, "Oh that's ok," really is it??? I myself have been guilty of this.
Psalm 37:9-40
For evil men will be cut off, but those who hope in the Lord will inherit the land. A little while, and the wicked will be no more; though you look for them, they will not be found. But the meek will inherit the land and enjoy great peace. The wicked plot against the righteous and gnash their teeth at them; but the Lord laughs at the wicked, for he knows their day is coming. The wicked draw the sword and bend the bow to bring down the poor and needy to slay those whose ways are upright. But their swords will pierce their own hearts, and their bows will be broken. better the little that the righteous have than the wealth of many wicked; for the power of the wicked will be broken, but the Lord upholds the righteous.
* Continue to read its very interesting to see that what God is speaking of in his word, these things will come, when we do not know but I know that the Lord will prepare his children/people.
